Espressivo! Piano Quartet unites distinguished chamber musicians from two generations: violinist Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson, long celebrated for their work in the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio, join pianist Anna Polonsky and violist Milena Pájaro-van de Stadt in a program that moves from Classical poise to contemporary reflection and Brahmsian intensity. Mozart’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major opens the evening with one of the defining works of the genre. At the center stands Nokuthula Ngwenyama’s Joy Steppin’, a FCMKC co-commission written for the ensemble and shaped around the idea of joy as a sustaining and hard-won human force. Brahms’s Piano Quartet in G minor closes the program with sweeping drama and gypsy abandon.

General Policies: TeenTix tickets are available for both assigned seating and general admission venues. For general admission performances, you will be seated in the best available seats on the day of the concert. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Online: Visit our ticketing site and find the event you wish to attend. Select a "TeenTix" ticket for your free admission. If you would like to add a companion ticket for $5, select a "TeenTix Plus One" ticket. Choose “Will Call” as your delivery method (or it will be applied automatically after purchase). On the day of the performance, arrive at least 30 minutes early, present your TeenTix digital pass, and collect your ticket(s) from Will Call.

By Phone: Call the box office at (816) 766-1096 and let the representative know you are a TeenTix Pass holder. They will reserve your ticket(s) and arrange for pickup at Will Call.
