THE RITZ

Aug. 12 -30, 2026

  • Unicorn Theatre The Ritz

When Gaetano Proclo, a hapless, middle-aged, very married man takes it on the lam from his mafioso brother-in-law, Carmine Vespucci, he ducks into “The Ritz” – a gay bathhouse. What he encounters there sets the scene for an old-fashioned, doorslamming farce, albeit with towel-clad men, bumbling detectives and Googie Gomez, an over-the-top, would-be Bette Midler looking for her big break.

Age Recommendation

CONTENT TRANSPERANCY: Recommended for ages 16+. This gloriously chaotic comedy contains adult language, sexual situations,  gay bathhouse culture, homophobic language, physical comedy, violence, attempted sexual assault, men in towels and robes, and a whole lot of unapologetic 1970s debauchery.
