Owen/Cox Dance Group is a contemporary dance company based in Kansas City, Missouri. The company is committed to creating new music and dance collaborations, presenting high-quality contemporary dance performances with live music, and engaging as wide an audience as possible through affordable live performances and education and outreach programs.

The company, founded by choreographer Jennifer Owen and composer Brad Cox, is widely recognized for its engaging and thought-provoking artistic collaborations. From the group’s whimsical modern jazz rendition of “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” to meditations on mortality in the Helen Gillet collaboration “Skin,” the ensemble consistently produces fresh and vibrant new works that are classical in form, but contemporary in expression.
