Theater of the Imagination

Theatre of the Imagination offers fun, welcoming acting classes and drama camps for students in kindergarten through eighth grade in the Kansas City area.

Students act, create characters, play theatre games, make movies, work with costumes and props, and perform in hilarious original plays. No previous acting experience is needed, and there are no auditions.
What makes Theatre of the Imagination different? We write our own plays and create roles specifically for the students in each class. Every actor receives an equal-sized role designed to fit their personality, age, and reading level. With small class sizes, every student gets plenty of time to perform, build confidence, make friends, and use their imagination.

Classes are offered after school and on Saturdays, along with seasonal and summer drama camps. Every session ends with a big performance for family and friends. Costumes are included, and there is no charge for performance tickets—bring the whole family!
Theatre of the Imagination also offers movie-making birthday parties, private acting coaching, and opportunities for young performers to develop skills that can help them in professional auditions.
