Join the Press Corps and step into the world of arts journalism! Whether you're into writing reviews, snapping photos or diving behind the scenes of your favorite performances, this program gives you the tools, training and insider access to become a real arts reporter and influencer. Learn how to craft compelling stories, explore the creative world around you and have your voice heard all while attending local arts events!

 

 

An Internship for Aspiring Creatives and Journalists

The TeenTix KC Press Corps is a unique opportunity for you to deepen your involvement in the arts as paid interns. You’ll attend shows, write reviews, create social media content and develop essential creative and professional skills in a fun, supportive environment.

 

 

Press Corps Highlights:

● 💸 Paid Internship – Earn while you learn for every review or reel that gets published or posted ($25 monthly stipend, $30 per published review or reel.)

● ✍️ Creative Writing – Review live events and develop your voice as a critic and storyteller.

● 📲 Social Media Skills – Learn how to create and edit engaging reels, posts and short-form content through a journalistic lens.

● 🎤Mentorship – Work with local artistic professionals, editors and digital content creators through monthly meetings and consistent guidance.

● 🧠 Life Skills – Build confidence, communication skills and career readiness.

● 🌟 By Teens, For Teens – Your voice, your perspective, your city, your platform!

How to Apply (Deadline has passed; applications closed for this year)

Once you’ve read through the Press Corps 2025-2026 Description and reviewed the schedule, fill out the Application (Google form). In the application you'll be asked to:

  • Share your contact information
  • Answer several short answer questions
  • Submit a work sample (written or video)
  • List any known extracurriculars for the 2025/2026 school year
  • Answer several demographic questions.
